Your calculations stay on your device
Take Home Tax runs every calculation locally in your web browser using JavaScript. The salary and details you enter are never transmitted to our servers, because there is no server doing the maths — it all happens on your screen. We cannot see, log or store your figures.
What we do collect
We use Google Analytics 4 only with your consent to understand how the website is used. Cookie identifiers are pseudonymous, not anonymous. Calculator values are not sent to Analytics.
Cookies and advertising
We may show advertising to keep the calculators free. Ad partners may set cookies to measure and serve ads; where required, you will be asked for consent. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to financial products are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up. This carries no cost to you and does not affect our calculations or recommendations.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights over any personal data a business holds about you. Because we don't collect identifiable calculation data, there is nothing personal for us to retrieve or delete — but if you have any question, email [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy as the site grows. The date above always reflects the latest version.

From 8 October 2026, Google Analytics 4 only loads if you accept optional analytics. It measures page visits, sessions, duration and technical browser information. Google receives the connection and uses cookie identifiers; this information is pseudonymous, not anonymous. We do not send form or calculator values, or the query parameters of the page address.
You can accept, reject or withdraw permission using “Analytics settings” at the bottom of any page. The website works if you reject. Your choice is stored in your browser for 180 days. The _ga and _ga_* cookies are configured with a maximum lifetime of 180 days. Withdrawal disables measurement and clears those cookies for future visits; it does not automatically erase information already sent.
The provider is Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled for this measurement. Google may process information outside the European Economic Area; see its information about processing and transfers. This choice is separate from any advertising or external services the website already uses.
